Broughty Castle

The castle and beach at Broughty Ferry, a great spot for KAP with clean offshore winds. I've left myself and the kite line in the right hand side of the frame.

North Carr light ship

The North Carr was the last manned lightship in Scotland, now docked in Victoria Dock, Dundee.

The Frigate Unicorn

The oldest floating British warship, the Frigate Unicorn is docked here at the City Quay, Dundee.

Picavet suspension test

Normally I wouldn't consider lifting a camera unless the sun is out but these dull conditions where perfect for testing a new Picavet suspension which I've added to my rig for stabilization. The resulting shots where consistently sharp, and the rig still folds away into the bottom of a rucksack no problem. Hopefully a huge help for low light conditions in future.

Views of Gairloch including the Mustn't Grumble pub and high school building. These where taken during the annual ten minutes of sunshine which Gairloch receives.

Gairloch beach

A couple photos from Gairloch beach in northwest Scotland. I have painted the kite line out of the first one. Despite very dull conditions and a lot of camera movement the image stabiliser seems to have kept things pretty sharp. Very pleased with my new camera and rig!

New micro KAP rig test

I have just finished making a new rig to fit my Canon powershot A1100 IS. Here is the rig and the results of a test flight.
